Hello

I’m Abhishek Singh – a visual artist, photographer, and creative strategist from Varanasi, India.

Rooted in the rich cultural landscape of my hometown, my journey in the arts began with a deep curiosity for storytelling. I studied Fine Arts at the College of Art, University of Delhi, New Delhi, and went on to pursue a Master’s degree at Banaras Hindu University, specialising in Advertising and Campaign Planning. These experiences shaped my understanding of narrative, aesthetics, and visual communication.

Over the years, photography became more than just a practice – it became my language. Whether through street, documentary, or fashion imagery, I use the camera to explore themes of identity, heritage, and the poetry of everyday life. My work often reflects a balance between emotion and structure, vibrancy and stillness.

Currently based in New Delhi, I work as a freelance photographer and cinematographer with a focus on fashion and editorial projects. I’m also a photographer at the National Gallery of Modern Art, where I document India’s evolving art scene.

Influenced by minimalism and the power of subtlety, I aim to create images that feel honest – capturing moments that are quietly profound and visually striking.

Work Experience

I am currently working as a photographer at the National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA), New Delhi, where I document exhibitions, installations, and India’s dynamic art scene.
